Our Story

Begins with family.

Terry Mickelson started creating his custom cedar products when inspired to make a Mother's Day gift, for his wife, Tina. He picked up some cedar boards from a local lumber yard and assembled an Adirondack chair that took her breath away. Envious neighbors and friends started inquiring to place orders and, soon, Terry was handcrafting everything from fold-able chairs to deck planters to up coolers.

Most recently, Terry has started harvesting and milling white cedar from the woods surrounding his home in Cadillac, Michigan. From inception to enjoyment, Terry's cedar interpretations are rooted in the ideal, that while beauty repeats itself in nature, hand craftsmanship shapes a lasting distinction.
