Comparing our Log Furniture to the Competiton
Here at Simply Cedar Log Furniture we feel we produce the best cedar log furniture on the web. There are many reasons why we feel we are the best: from service, to quality and durability, to us being hands on with the rustic furniture from start to finish. There is
no middleman. When you look at our log furniture and compare it to other
manufacturers, please look closely at the details such as size of the
tenons that we use. Notice the smooth peel on all of our products indoor
or outdoor. They are both peeled twice to make sure the quality of peel
is satisfactory. Take a close look at the quality of wood we are using,
northern white cedar and notice that there is no rot or bad knots or any
other defects. Since we live in a prosperous region for northern white
cedar we have the capabilities of purchasing the best rustic furniture quality
wood there is to buy. Also, observe the size of lumber we use on our tables, we use 2x6 boards which are all 100% white cedar. Many log furniture builders have taken a cheaper approach of using thinner boards for the table tops or chairs and some have even have gone farther than that and started mixing pine boards with the cedar to cut their cost and the quality of the furniture. (There is no comparison from cedar to pine). We go a little further than most on how the indoor log tables are fastened together. We fasten from the bottom, instead of the top and we predrill, glue and screw the log tables together. And after the fastening stage is done we move on to the finishing where we will sand the already planed table, and then router the corners on our indoor log furniture line. Another reason for our popularity is the size of the logs we use in our rustic furniture. For example, on our 5' log swing and the corner post of the log beds we use 5" to 6" diameter logs unlike many other manufacturers. We also offer the swing in a smaller frame as our 4' log swing. Now that I've mentioned log beds I would like to state some great advantages of purchasing our cedar beds. First, they are 100% cedar, second, there are no metal rails used in any of our log beds—our entire bed is cedar making them more desirable and stronger. Third, the corner posts are predrilled and countersunk where the side rails insert into the corner post to give the owner the ability to tighten the bed together and also let the owner take the log bed apart if needed. On our outdoor wood furniture, take note of the seats, as they are all molded into a contoured seat for the most comfort available without a cushion. All the backs are set on an angle to give you a relaxed feel. Now with all these things in mind we would like to mention one of the most important qualities we have and that is that we are a small company and we work with the furniture from hauling the logs in to setting up the delivery; there is no middleman when you deal with us. |
